The annual Landtubbers Race takes place Saturday, July 22, 2006 on the parking lot adjacent to the Civic Arena. The A-Channel's offbeat contribution to Bathtub Weekend, the Landtubbers Race is the first land race in the event's history and has already grown in popularity as a way to still race bathtubs and not have to get wet (ha-ha)..

Corporate teams are invited to register for the race by contacting Jamie Odgers at REMAX of Nanaimo (250) 751-1223.

All proceeds from the race go to the Nanaimo Rotary Daybreak club and the Loyal Nanaimo Bathtub Society.
