Loyal Nanaimo Bathtub Society

The name of the Society is: LOYAL NANAIMO BATHTUB SOCIETY (LNBS). The objects of the Society are: To organize, encourage, promote, publicize, sponsor, form, carry out, conduct, manage and finance celebrations, programs, events, displays, memorial funds and projects. The operation of the society is to be chiefly carried on in the city of Nanaimo, in the province of British Columbia.

This was incorporated as a Society under the "Societies Act" in the province of British Columbia the fourteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and sixty eight.

Since the inception of the organization it has taken on the task of organizing and running the World Championship Bathtub Race and World Cup Bathtub Racing Circuit and coordination of the Nanaimo Marine Festival. The 4 day festival takes place in July each year and features events such as the "Sail Past on Wheels Fun Parade", "Festival of Lights and Music Fireworks Display", "Marine Festival Entertainment Stage" culminating with the signature event the "Great" International World Championship Bathtub Race.

The LNBS meet the first Wednesday of every month at 7:00 PM in their downtown office located at 373 Franklyn Street, Nanaimo, BC V9R 2X5 and the meetings are open to the general public and new members and volunteers are always welcome.
